Dear Colleagues,

I'm writing to invite you to the IATEFL Hungary Conference entitled: Global Skills for Local Needs - Facing Challenges in 21st Century Classrooms to be held in Budapest 2-4 October 2009.

While there will be workshops and talks focusing on various areas related to ELT, there will be a special focus on global issues and we are very keen to make the Conference as international as possible. We would therefore be very happy if you could join us for this event.

In line with the main theme of the Conference, there will be an Open Forum Session on 'English Teaching Around the World' where we will be discussing the main challenges facing ELT professionals in different countries. Your contribution to this session would be very welcome. We would let you know the specifics of this in case you are able to attend.

The plenary speakers of the conference will be Mrs Eva Illes(UK, Hungary),  Mr Tamas Kiss (Singapur, Hungary),   Mr Gordon Lewis (USA) and Mr. Herbert Puchta (Austria)
